The brief
VEN Visual is the graphic design studio of Steven Makse, a Curtin University graphic design lecturer and exhibiting visual artist working from Melville in Western Australia and serving clients Australia-wide. For a designer, the website is the portfolio, and every pixel is judged by the exact audience it needs to win. We built a minimalist, typography-led site that puts the work first, organises a broad service range into clear categories, and makes it effortless to start a conversation, so the site itself reads as a sample of the craft behind it.

- ✓Work-first portfolio layout. A clean grid of paired image tiles alongside a client logo gallery puts real projects front and centre, so the craft carries the pitch instead of the sales copy.
- ✓Several easy ways to get in touch. A contact form captures name, email, phone and message with a 'please call me to discuss' option and spam protection, while a Calendly 'Video Chat' link lets visitors book a time directly, alongside phone and email.
- ✓A structured service menu. Promo and publications, logos and branding, illustration and infographics, motion graphics, retouching and image design, and fillable forms and web design are grouped so a broad offering reads as organised rather than overwhelming.
- ✓A design that mirrors the designer. Generous white space, considered typography and a rotating hero of graphics reflect Steven's stated obsession with pixel-perfect detail and typography that communicates with clarity.
