The brief
The brief
MCF empowers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families across Far North Queensland through Montessori early education, running the Raising Happy Kids supported playgroup, parenting programs and facilitator training, with the new Wonderwood Montessori School opening in Mooroobool in 2026. A cause this considered needed a site that carried its cultural weight without feeling institutional. The build answers with a warm, photography-led design that carries an Acknowledgement of Country, tells the story of twenty-five years of work, then guides every visitor toward a single confident action: making a donation.
What we built
What we built
- ✓Tiered donation cards that show the impact. Rather than one flat donate button, the site presents $25, $50 and $100 giving tiers, each paired with a specific description of what that amount does for a family, so generosity feels concrete.
- ✓Culture and values kept central. The site centres the foundation's mission for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, carries an Acknowledgement of Country, and names its values, Strengths Based, Culturally Appropriate and Access for all, so the cultural purpose is stated plainly rather than left implied.
- ✓Warm, photography-first storytelling. A clean palette of deep navy and warm orange over white lets a banner and a gallery of children in real playgroup and classroom settings carry the emotion, backed by parent testimonials on language development and independence.
- ✓A full non-profit architecture. Beyond a landing page, we built out About and Guiding Documents, a news blog, a named leadership and board section, a dedicated Wonderwood Montessori School page, and contact details, giving the foundation room to grow.
