The brief
Selling stillness in Tropical North Queensland
Larry and Effie bought this Mareeba property in 2017 and planted hundreds of natives to bring the woodland back, building a ten-acre wildlife sanctuary with four accommodation retreats. The challenge was to sell stillness, not just rooms, and to make four very different properties easy to compare and book. The site answers with a calm, photography-led design, a live local weather widget, the property's Instagram feed and a clear path from browsing to a live online availability check.
What we built
What we built
- ✓Four retreats, four dedicated pages. Each property gets its own page, from the Eucalyptus Guest House at $290 a night to the eight-guest Country House with four bedrooms and a private pool, so guests choose on views, capacity and price rather than scrolling one long list.
- ✓Live local weather, on the page. A real-time widget pulls current conditions for the area from OpenWeatherMap, a small local touch that helps a traveller picture the Tablelands before they commit to a stay.
- ✓An Instagram feed doing the social proof. The property's own live Instagram feed drops straight onto the page, keeping it fresh between visits and letting real moments from the farm carry the storytelling.
- ✓A nature-led design that sells the stillness. The 'Birds Heaven' bird branding, warm earthy tones and photography-led sections carry the 'little slice of paradise' tone, with a clear Book Accommodation call to action leading to a live online availability calendar.
